One Year Ago Today...

One year ago today, I put in an offer on a place that was going to be my first home. Obviously, at the time, I had no idea what in the world I was getting into! Between negotiations with the sellers, problems with the bank, and the whole closing fiasco (being told a HALF AN HOUR before closing that we would not be closing that day... staking out at the closing office... and FINALLY closing!), I had no idea at the time what to expect! And then of course, with all the hard work that comes with buying a fixer upper (plumbing issues, getting all the varnish off my hardwood floors, hanging cabinetry...), this has been one hell of a year!

I think it's pretty safe to say this isn't the same house it was a year ago. And I'm ok with that.

This is my family and the seller's realtor the day I made an offer on my house!


I'd have to say it was a pretty darn good decision, if I do say so myself! Happy Anniversary, house!
